Ellahi Bagh woman’s family seeks govt help to retrieve her body from Jhelum

Srinagar, May 8: The family members of a resident of Ellahi Bagh who ended life by jumping into Jhelum on May 5 have sought help from the government to retrieve her body from the river.

The family members of a resident of Ellahi Bagh who ended life by jumping into Jhelum on May 5 have sought help from the government to retrieve her body from the river.

Mudasir Javid, wife of Javid Ahmad Bungree, resident of Ellahi Bagh, had committed suicide by jumping into river Jhelum at Old Bridge Zaina Kadal on past Friday.

The family members alleged that the authorities were not putting in maximum efforts to trace the body. "We urge the government to launch a massive search operation to fish out the body," they appealed.

The deceased was working as a Junior Engineer in Irrigation and Flood Control department.
