The JK Public Service Commission (PSC) has once again come under criticism as the aspirants for 10+2 botany lecturer posts accuse the Commission of issuing wrong list of shortlisted candidates for interview.
The aggrieved candidates said the Commission after holding screening test of candidates notified names of shortlisted candidates for interview without displaying the cutoff point and answer key of the questions in the screening test.
Chairman Public Service Commission, Latief U Zaman Deva, said the Commission can't display the answer key of any exams, as per the existing rule position.
He said the students can get the information under RTI provided they have sought information through RTI application.
It may be recalled that directions were sent to the PSC Chairman from Chief Minister's office to disclose keys after conducting every competitive exam.
The letter was shot after it came to fore that 24 questions posed in KAS-2016 preliminary exams were given wrong answers by PSC in its key.
"JKPSC is a constitutional body. Whatever is decided by Commission will be implemented. We have not revisited these issues as of now. As per our rule position, we won't display answer key unless process is completed," Deva said.
He however said PSC will provide carbon copy of OMR sheets in upcoming exams.
"All these issued will be revisited in next Commission meeting. Candidates having issues over cutoff point can ascertain it from PSC office," he said.
