Lawyers boycott work against summoning of HCBA president

Outraged at the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) summon to the High Court Bar Association president Mian Abdul Qayoom for questioning, lawyers across Kashmir suspended their work on Thursday.

Qayoom was earlier summoned to NIA headquarters in New Delhi on 6th September this year. He was asked to re-appear before NIA on 14th September Senior member of HCBA, advocate Muhammad Abdullah Pandit said that lawyers would continue to boycott work "until Qayoom returns with dignity" to Kashmir.
