Army and Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune are organising various courses in screen acting, smartphone film making and screenplay writing for the youth of Baramulla, an army spokesman said in a statement.
He said, "The first in the series of courses commenced on 25 June 2018. Thirty youth from Baramulla came forward to join the course. It was inaugurated by the Dagger Division commander in the presence of Bhupendra Kainthola, director FTII Pune and various other dignitaries from civil and district administration besides army and police officers," he added.
Speaking on the occasion, the GOC Dagger Division emphasised on the army's continued efforts towards nurturing the cultural heritage and identifying the young talent from the Valley. He also highlighted that such events provide good employment opportunities to the youth and appreciated the efforts of FTII for their initiative.
