Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh today chaired a high-level meeting which was attended by Deputy Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi, advisor to Governor, B B Vyas and other senior officers of concerned departments to review pace of various developmental works at Assembly Complexes.
The meeting discussed in detail all the ongoing works and the Speaker stressed the need to expedite the same. To which, the Advisor directed the Managing Director, JKPCC that month-wise benchmark should be fixed in respect of financial requirement and physical achievements of the said project.
The Advisor also directed MD JKPCC to prepare a DPR before 31 July 2018 for getting administrative approval in respect of setting up of Audio/Visual System in the Legislature Complex. He also directed the Secretary Law to conduct on the spot visit of the new Legislature complex Jammu and to take stock of the present status in this regard. Construction of Additional Block of Legislators' Hostel Srinagar was also discussed in the meeting and it was revealed that the matter has already been taken up with the Estates Department.
