Government forces on Friday fired few speculative shots during a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Chatapora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama town.
A police official said army personnel of 55 RR, CRPF and SOG men laid a siege around the Chatapora locality following inputs about the presence of militants.
"A door to door search is being conducted," he said.
The official also said that some warning shots were also fired by the forces.
More details are awaited.
