They alleged authorities of ruining their career by keeping the list in abeyance for 12 years.

"It has been 12 years since our interview was conducted. We are unable to understand why authorities are not issuing the list. Our carrier has been spoiled by the authorities" said Atif Hassan, who was among the protestors.

The aspirants said they had applied for posts "vide advertisement number 04/DDC of 2006, dated 18-10-2006, under endorsement number DDCB/2006 class 4th/8522-35, dated 19-10-2006".
