The first two groups of students co-organized by 43 batallion Budgam and 132 batallion Srinagar were flagged off today at Srinagar Airport under Bharat Darshan tour sponsored by CRPF here.
CRPF PRO in a statement said on the occasion IG CRPF, Ravideep Sahi lauded enthusiasm of participating children and briefed these children and media about far reaching personal benefits of this tour.
The statement said this year CRPF is organising Bharat Darshan tours of under 18 school going children of Kashmir as part of annual civic action program ."The students under this program are being sent on educational cum curricular and excursion trip to different parts of the country like Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Trivandrum and other places to facilitate these children to educate themselves on country's heritage and history and national diversities," the statement said.
"20 such groups each comprising 18 children and two teachers under one CRPF officer will be sent to these places where the entire expenditure of travelling, boarding lodging and site seeing will be borne by CRPF in an eight days tailor made schedule," it added.
