President of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) G A Mir on Sunday said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh before the onset of Lok Sabha election was an "attempt to regain the lost ground."
In a statement Mir said that BJP miserably failed to full the promises which it had made to the people. "Prime Minister's visit was an attempt to create an impression that BJP is concerned about the development of people but the fact is that BJP has nothing to show to people and it has sensed defeat even before the Lok Sabha elections have been announced," he added.
Reacting to launching of university of Ladakh at Leh/Kargil laying of foundation stone of new terminal building at Leh and other projects, Mir said that launching these projects at this juncture is nothing but a mere a paper work to hide the "failures" of BJP led NDA government on all fronts.
He claimed that whatever the Prime Minister has inaugurated during the last four and half years had been sanctioned and completed by the Congress government at Centre, the laying foundations of projects before the elections is "just a political gimmick."
