Leader of Peoples Democratic Party and the PDP candidate for Baramula Parliamentary seat Abdul Qayoom Wani on Saturday said that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was not the authority on " constitution of J&K."
In a statement he advised him (Jaitley) not to deliver "sermons" on the special status of J&K. Wani said that the Article 35A—and 370— are scared for Kashmiris and nobody would be allowed to tinker with it. "Jaitley could be a reputed lawyer, but he shouldn't pretend to be an expert of J&K Constitution," he added.
Wani asked the BJP leader to study the Constitution. "Finance Minister is either unaware about the constitution or is deliberately fishing in troubled waters. BJP must realise that nobody would be allowed to play politics on J&K."
