Peoples Conference (PC) on Thursday expresses profound grief over the demise of the party's former General Secretary, advocate Peer Hafizullah Makhdoomi. He breathed his last in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, after prolonged illness.
"We are deeply pained and saddened by the sad demise of Makhdoomisahib. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the grieving family. May Allahgrant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength and patience to thebereaved family in this difficult hour," said the PC General Secretary ImranReza Ansari said.
"Makhdoomi sahib was a long time associate of late AbdulGani Lone sahib and former general secretary of the party. We are indebted forhis tireless efforts in strengthening the party at grassroots and serve theneedy during his political career. He continues to inspire the rank and file ofthe party and we will all carry forward his legacy and struggle by serving ourpeople," Ansari said.
Several party leaders and office bearers including AbdulGani Vakil, Bashir Ahmad Dar, Junaid Azim Mattu and others also expressedsolidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to thedeceased soul.
Jammu and Kashmir People's Independent Movement (JKPIM)Chairman Bilal Gani Lone also expressed condolences over the sad demise ofMakhdoomi.
He expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayedfor eternal peace to the departed soul. Bilal termed the deceased a noble andpious soul.
Meanwhile, J&K High Court Bar Association also condoledthe demise of advocate Makhdoomi.
In a statement, the Association expressed grief on thedemise of Makhdoomi and expressed sympathy and solidarity with the bereavedfamily.
"May Almighty Allah grant solace and peace to the departedsoul and give patience to the members of the bereaved family to bear the loss,"the statement said.
