Three militants who were trying to enter this side were killed by army on Saturday along the Line of Control in Tangdhar area of Kupwara, director general of police S P Vaid said in a tweet.
Senior superintendent of police Kupwara Ram AmbarkarDinkar said the militants were killed in exchange of fire.
“Firing has stopped. Their bodies are being recovered. Once we recover the bodies and ammunition, we will share all details. For now, three militants have been killed,” Dinkar added.
