3 more Baramulla areas declared ‘containment zones’

Sopore, Nov 20: As COVID-19 cases continue to witness a rise, three more areas were declared “containment zones” in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.

These three “containment zones” include DaraGutliyan Uri, SangriWatlabSopore, and Jalalabad (A) near the Jamia Masjid area of Sopore.

   

The restriction order in this regard was issued on Saturday by District Magistrate Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar.

As per the order, there would be complete restrictions in these “containment zones”.

These restrictions would include complete lockdown in the area.

Moreover, tight perimeter control has been ordered in the area except for essential needs.

Besides, the movement of the people in and out in the “containment zones” has been completely barred.

The authorities have also made testing and vaccination mandatory for the residents of the “containment zones”.

Meanwhile, SSP Baramulla and SP Sopore ordered the deployment of necessary manpower for the enforcement of restrictions in these locations.
