4 teachers, lamberdar suspended for ‘violating’ MCC

District election officer Bandipora suspended four government teachers – two each in Gurez and Bandipora— after they were found involved in the alleged violation of model code of conduct.

"A complaint has been received through media certification& monitoring committee (MCMC) against three teachers namely Azharudin Loneson of Hafeezullah Lone, a resident of Badugam, RET teacher at governmentmiddle school Grathnalla, Tulail; Muhammad Yousuf Khan son of Lal Khan, aresident of Kashpath, Tulail, RRT Khan Mohalla and Showkat Hussain SheikhTeacher GMS Pehlipora Malangam, Bandipora (who) have been placed undersuspension," reads an order issued by DEO Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza.

The order reads "All the three teachers have been foundinvolved in violation of Model Code of Conduct as recommended by MCMC."

"Additional district development commissioner Bandiporashall conduct a detailed inquiry into the conduct of the officials and submithis report for taking further disciplinary action against the said teachers.The teachers shall remain attached with the additional district developmentcommissioner's office," reads the order.

In another order issued by DEO Bandipora, an ReT teacherposted in primary school Kudara, Bandipora was also suspended for allegedlyviolating the model code of conduct.

"A complaint has been received through Sarpanch Kudaraagainst Ghulam Qadir RET primary school Kudara, Bandipora that the teacher isnot attending duties. Instead is indulging in campaigning for a particularparty (Congress) and harassing innocent locals. Pending inquiry into the matterthe teacher is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect," reads theorder.

"The teacher shall remain attached with the office of Addl.District Development Officer Bandipora.

Meanwhile, Tehsildar Gurez has suspended a Lamberdar,Mohammad Muzaffar Akhoon of Markoot village in Gurez after he was foundallegedly delivering a speech during a public rally of People's Conference inDawar on 29 March.

"It is affirmed that the Lamberdar has clearly violated themodel code of conduct and is placed under suspension with immediate effect,"reads the order.
