Five ‘notorious’ drug peddlers were nabbed from Karnah and Lolab valley in Kupwara district a day before and banned drugs and psychotropic substances worth lakhs of rupees recovered from them, police said today.
Besides 200 grams of Brown Sugar, six kgs of Charas were recovered from them, a senior police official said.
“It is a major success for police as the notorious drug peddlers were involved in illicit drug trade for a long time,” Shamsher Hussain, SSP Kupwara told reporters.
“We apprehended them following a specific input that they were preparing to deliver the consignment,” he added.
