Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday reported 53 new COVID-19 deaths and 2,964 infections in the last 24 hours.
As per the government data, 3,623 patients recovered from the virus during the period taking the overall recoveries to 2,272,42. The overall infection tally in J&K stands at 2,75,822.
Of the fresh cases, 1,819 of them were reported in Kashmir division and 1,145 in Jammu in the last 24 hours.
Of the 53 fresh fatalities, 33 of them were reported in Jammu division while 20 were reported in Kashmir taking the overall death toll in J&K to 3,662.
The overall death toll comprises 1,897 in Kashmir and 1,765 in Jammu.
There are a total of 44,918 active cases in J&K,- 26,494 in Kashmir and 18,424 in Jammu.
