Police here today have detained three persons including an aged person in Hajin here on Saturday night.
Reports said that three persons were detained during a nocturnal raid in the town.
The detained persons were identified as 75-year old Hajji Sonaullah Bhat, Muhammad Umar Dar and Gowhar Ahmad Parray.
Sonaullah Bhat, according to his family has been held since at police station Hajin. “He has a couple of ailments, and remains usually ill. He has nothing to do with the stone-pelting and other protests. We are surprised that why was he detained unnecessarily” said his son Muhammad Afzal Bhat.
Sources said that police fired some tear gas shells in the town during the nocturnal raids. “They smashed all the window panes of our house and ransacked the household goods” Altaf said.
Station House Officer Hajin denied detained any one during the nocturnal raids in the town.
