At least nine youth were detained by government forces during overnight raids in two villages of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police official said that they raided Arigam and Arihal villages of the district and picked up nine youth.
While eight persons were detained from Arigam, one was arrested from Arihal, the official said.
He said that the detainees were being questioned for their alleged role in various stone pelting incidents.
