Aasiya Andrabi condemns civilian killings
Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Syeda Aasiya Andrabi today said the killing of three persons since yesterday in Kashmir "indicated that India had declared a full-fledged war against the people of Kashmir."
"The killing of 15-year-old Yawar Ahmad of Batengoo and 25-year-old Sayar Ahmad of Shopian who were killed after pellets and teargas shell hit them respectively and the killing of another person from Aali Kadal, who was beaten to death by the forces, give a clear indication that India has declared a full-fledged war against innocent unarmed Kashmiris," Aasiya Andrabi, said in a statement.
"After the statement by India's Defense minister, Manohar Parrikar, that more battalions of army and other forces are being sent to J&K prove the fact that India has decided to launch a bloody military offensive against Kashmiris," she alleged.
"On ground the preparation are being made to hand over south Kashmir to army and more forces are being sent to Kashmir with a sole aim that they want to crush this ongoing resistance movement by killing as many Kashmiris as they want," Aasiya said.
"I urge the women of Kashmir to safeguard themselves from the forces. In prevailing situation, the Muslim women of Kashmir need to be more vigilant. Our chastity is dearer to us than our lives," she said.
