Aasiya Andrabi’s health deteriorating in jail: DeM

Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) today expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of its incarcerated chairperson Syeda Aasiya Andrabi in Sub Jail, Baramulla.

Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) today expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of its incarcerated chairperson Syeda Aasiya Andrabi  in Sub Jail, Baramulla.   

"Aasiya Andrabi late Tuesday afternoon developed some complications in the Baramulla Sub Jail, where she has been detained under PSA. She had very high BP, besides, she developed some severe health complications," the DeM secretary general Nahida  Nasreen, in a statement today, said, adding that " She was later on brought to SKIMS where doctors prescribed that she should be admitted as she has to undergo various investigations. However, she was not allowed to get admitted by a huge posse of police who accompanied her to the hospital."

Meanwhile, Nasreen paid tributes to Basit Rasool who was slain in an encounter with forces at Beovora, Srigufwara, district Anantnag and Lashkar e Toiba commander Abu Bakar who was killed in a gunfight in Bomai area of Sopore town.
