Aasiya felicitates people of central Kashmir
Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chairperson Syeda Aasiya Andrabi today said in just a week people of Kashmir have twice "rejected Indian and state rulers".
"Today, once again, the negligible participation of people in sham voting process is a verdict against India. People of Budgam must be felicitated for what they have done. They have set an example that should be followed in letter and spirit by other districts where this drama will be conducted in the future," Aasiya, in a statement today, said, adding that "the whole district of Budgam was turned into a military garrison and curfew-like situation was created. Despite coercion only 1.93 percent people cast the vote. That means a meagre 679 persons voted among 35165-odd population." "On April 9, India came to terms that people of Kashmir have rejected them. This is a verdict that pro-India politics and the politicians who follow it, has been rejected and the vote of Kashmiri people is for freedom and for Pakistan," she said, adding that "The outcome is a referendum."
"The resolve of people of central Kashmir is praiseworthy as they have set an example for rest of JK to follow. This day is the victory for the pro-resistance people of Jammu and Kashmir. I congratulate the people for rejecting India. It is a matter of great satisfaction and happiness for us. The resistance leadership should congratulate people for they have chosen a best path to be followed," she said.
