The district administration here has decided to distribute two lakh masks among people belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL).
An official said on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal a committee has roped in district industrial unit, KVIB, local entrepreneurs and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) for production of the masks.
ACR Ganderbal, Syed Baseer Ahmed said so far 20,000 maskshave been procured and most of them have been distributed.
The DC chaired a meeting in this regard to discuss theprogress of production and distribution of masks in light of government orderfor universal usage of masks.
