To provide all healthcare and diagnostic facilities to kids under one roof, SKIMS Soura has started state-of-the-art advanced Pediatric Services.
In a statement, the Department of Pediatrics SKIMS said itoffers care to all critically ill children from neonatal age to 16 years.Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology. “We have also started round theclock pediatric emergency to manage all pediatric emergencies. The Departmentis also running super specially OPD of Neonatalology, Pediatric Pulmonology,Pediatric Intensive Care, Pediatric Rheumatology and Immunology, PediatricNeurology, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Hematology, Pediatric Oncologyin collaboration with the adult super speciality departments.
The statement said the Department offers PediatricEndoscopy, Spirometry , EEG and pediatric ultrasonography facilities. “Anew pediatric OPD block has recently been commissioned by SKIMS providinggeneral and superspeciality outdoor pediatric facilities under one roof. TheOPD is equipped with primary laboratory facilities for children, besides it hasa charming play room with multiple joyful recreations for kids,” thestatement said.
The Department also offers Pediatric Bronchoscopy facilitieswhere all Bronchoscopic procedures are conducted. “This is the only facility ofthis kind available in Union Territory of J&K. Patients from all regions ofUT of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir are referred to the Department of Pediatricsand Neonatology, SKIMS for such procedures,” the statement said.
