Advisor Kumar holds public grievance camp in Sopore

As part of the public outreach programme initiated by the Governor’s administration, Advisor Vijay Kumar today chaired a public grievance camp at Bomai village here.

Various delegations and representatives from some areas called on the Advisor.

   

Kumar was accompanied by the chief secretary BVR Subramanium.

A deputation of Bomai village represented by chairman Bomai Citizens Council Shafqat Nazir raised the demands and grievances vis-a-vis the welfare of the village with Kumar. 

He demanded upgradation of PHC Bomai to the level of sub district hospital, besides the creation of medical block and educational zone in the village. 

He sought the establishment of GDC in the village and said it will fulfil the educational demands of the area. 

Moreover, he raised the demands pertaining to electricity, water supply, education, rural development, health and other infrastructure development with Kumar. 

Another delegation from Tujar Sharief demanded the renovation of historical shrine of Hamza Makdoom located in Tujar Sharief.

The delegation also sought completion of receiving station and water supply scheme, rectification of land revenue record, upgradation and macadamisation of link roads, etc.

Meanwhile, the Advisor gave patient hearing to the deputations and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. 

He also passed on spot directions for redressal of various grievances and directed the officers to maintain close liaison with the local population so that their grievances are redressed at the earliest.

He also directed the officers to conduct field visits regularly so as to remain apprised about the problems faced by the people so that same can be projected before the government for quick redressal.

Divisional commissioner Kashmir, IGP Kashmir, DDC Baramulla, ADC Baramulla, ADC Sopore, SSP Sopore and various district and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
