After students’ protest, teacher placed under suspension

A day after its students protested against the dearth of teaching staff at the winter coaching centre set up in government higher secondary school Hariganiwan, Ganderbal, the authorities on Sunday suspended a teacher who had not joined at the centre despite official orders. Besides, six more teachers were deputed to the coaching centre.

An official told Greater Kashmir that taking serious note of “non-compliance” of the official orders, one of the teachers who had not joined at the coaching tutorial has been put under suspension and attached to the chief education office Ganderbal.

   

He said six more teachers were deputed to the tutorial in view of the heavy roll of the students.

Chief education officer Ganderbal, Sheikh Gayasud din told Greater Kashmir that out of five teachers, one hadn’t joined his duties at the tutorial and he has been put under suspension.

He said that six more teachers have been deputed for the tutorial for its smooth functioning.
