Srinagar, Mar 7: Ahata-e- Waqar , a daycare and recreation centre for senior citizens, today announced to establish a separate women’s wing at Chanapora.
According to a press release, the Ahata-e- Waqar discussed contours for next year’s activities at a general body meeting under the chairmanship of Abdul Gani Paray. On this occasion an adhoc body was also constituted to oversee activities of the center .
The adhoc body will carry forward main objective of this senior citizen’s forum especially providing recreational facilities to the senior citizens and to provide a congenial platform where they could share their priceless experiences and expertize to overcome various issues confronting the society.
Ahata-e-Waqar, is a plateform where senior citizens get involved in a lot of activities by availing facilities of library, recreational hall, reading room, pantry, counseling centre, Gegiartric OPD and physiotherapy facilities .
Speaking on the occasion ,Er Khazir Mohammad Trag said that the centre has been established in recognition of the contribution and sacrifices made by senior citizens in different spheres of the society.
