Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari welcomed the newly-elected District Development Council (DDC) member from Imam Sahib-I DDC constituency of south Kashmir’s Shopian district for joining Apni Party at its Srinagar office on Friday.
A statement of Apni Party issued here said Bukhari while welcoming her into the party fold stressed on her to work tirelessly for mitigation of the sufferings of the people in her constituency.
The statement said Bukhari stressed on her to work tirelessly for the welfare of the people and fulfill the promises made by her to the people of her constituency.
It said that besides Bukhari, the newly-elected DDC member joined Apni Party in presence of Provincial President, Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Mir and District President, Srinagar, Noor Muhammad Sheikh.
The statement said she joined Apni Party along with Sarpanch Sugan Block Chitragam, Shopian, Manzoor Ahmad Thokar and Panch Sugan Block, Chitragam, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Thokar.
It said the new entrants pledged their full support to the party leadership in fulfillment of party’s socio-economic and political agenda which encompasses restoration of statehood to J&K, its equitable development and safeguarding people’s rights on their land and jobs.
