Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal Khalil Ahmed Poswal on Saturday held an interactive session with commanders of all security forces— Army, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, JKAP and district Police Ganderbal— to chalk out a strategy in order to have proper co-ordination and synergy amongst multiple forces during the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra, scheduled to commence on July 1, a police spokesman said in a statement.
He said the objectiveof the meeting was sensitization of security forces about ground realities andtheir preparedness in terms of law and order, rendering assistance to thegeneral public during times of crisis and assistance to the pilgrims who arescheduled to arrive for the annual pilgrimage.
The SSP Ganderbal, according to the spokesman, impressedupon all forces on ground to remain humane towards residents and dailycommuters. The areas of responsibilities and nature of duty was also briefed toall the participants.
