The lower house of Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly on Thursday saw uproar again over the "Muslim-free India" remark of Sadhvi Prachi.

Opposition legislators created uproar while demanding clarification from PDP-BJP government over the controversial remark made by the VHP leader during an election rally in Uttar Pradesh.

Deputy CM and senior BJP leader, Dr Nirmal Singh responded by saying that "India is a secular state and that people from every community live here."

Stopping short of condemnation, Singh said that "if the statement is true then it is wrong", adding that the authenticity of the content was not verified yet.
