Andhra charge won”t affect Madhav’s Kashmir role

The additional charge of Andhra Pradesh will not affect the BJP general secretary Ram Madhav’s Kashmir role. He will continue to look after the affairs of coalition government in the state.

“No Madhavji will remain associated with Jammu and Kashmir also,” BJP National Vice President and part in-charge of J&K AvinashRai Khanna, told Greater Kashmir. “Giving additional charge is part of routine activity in party and it won’t affect Madhavji’s engagement with J&K.”

   

Madhav was made the party in-charge of Andhra Pradesh soon after the TeleguDesam Party broke its alliance with the BJP. The decision to this effect was announced by the BJP president Amit Shah on Saturday.

BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh said that J&K will continue to remain with Madhav in future. “Things in J&K are on right track,” Singh told Greater Kashmir. “Coalition government is running successfully. We are not facing any problem.”

Madhav is seen as the key architect of the PDP-BJP alliance together with the PDP leaderHaseebDrabu.Following the hung verdict in 2014 Assembly polls, the two engaged over months to formulate the Agenda of Alliance which became the basis of the PDP-BJP coalition government.Madhav has also played role in defusing many a crisis facing the alliance.
