An Awami Mela was organized by the Army at Hajan today in which multiple stalls were put up, games were organized and snacks and food counters set up.
“The Mela was aimed at providing a platform for the local population to interact and share their views freely with the Army. More than 1200 people from Hajan and nearby areas graced the occasion.
Representatives of civil administration including SDPO Sumbal, BDO Hajan, SHO Hajan, Zonal Education Officer and local Sarpanch, Maulvis and other local heads attended the event. This step by the Army was well appreciated by the locals and was successful in motivating and attracting the youth of the region,” an Army spokesman said.
