Peoples Conference (PC) candidate for Lok Sabha constituency, Irfan Raza Ansari, on Tuesday termed the BJP’s promise to abrogate Article 370 as ‘political gimmick.’
In a statement Irfan said that “Article 370 has taken apermanent shape in Indian constitution and it can’t be scrapped.”
“BJP had promised the abrogation of Article 370 in their previousmanifesto as well but couldn’t do so. People should not pay heed to suchstatement as no one can fiddle with J&K’s special status.
About ban on civilian movement on highway on every Wednesdayand Sunday, he said that such such orders are unfortunate.
He also said that PC Chairman, Sajad Gani Lone has written to the Governor Satya Pal Malik in this regard and “we hope the decision will be revoked.”
