Scores of candidates who want to apply for jobs in J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) have appealed to the authorities to extend the date of submission of the application forms.
The aspirants who braved chill while standing in long queues outside the Old Secretariat here urged the board authorities to extend the date of submission of forms as done earlier.
The aspirants complained that the authorities have opened only one counter where applications are received.
A staff member, who was receiving the forms from the aspirants, supported the demand of the aspirants.
He said that they were not able to cope up with the huge rush.
"Today is the last date for submission of forms. We have a huge rush of candidates who are waiting for their turn. I don't think that we would be able to receive all the forms today," he said, adding that the last date should be extended.
Vice Chairman of KVIB, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain told Greater Kashmir that he would try his best to get the date extended so that aspirants would get time to submit their forms.
