Author Shahnaz Bashir appointed juror for a global journalism prize

Kashmiri author and academic Shahnaz Bashir has been appointed as a foundational juror for the first global journalism prize ‘True Story Award’ to be given every year to best long-form published from all over the world. 

The prize had been instituted in Bern, Switzerland by Reportagen magazine in collaboration with a specially-created foundation which every year will give away prizes of 30,000 Swiss Francs (2180400 INR) each to the best of three long-forms.        

   

The Inaugural Global Reporter Prize 2019 will be at an award ceremony to be held as part of Reporter Festival Bern on August 31, 2019, in the Bern Theatre, Switzerland.    

Shahnaz Bashir is the main juror for South Asia Jury which will judge best narrative journalism published each year in the region. The jury includes other famous journalists and writers from India and Nepal like P Sainath and Manjushree Thapa.
