District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal (DLSA) conducted an awareness programme on Child Abuse, Sexual Violence and Cyber Crimes at Government High School Anderwan in Ganderbal district on Monday under the Chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal Mohammad Yousuf Wani and Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal Iqbal Rafiq Vakil.
On the occasion, retainer Lawyer Immetul Mehraj, HeadmasterGovernment Boys High School Anderwan, teachers and students spoke on theissues. They also held a brainstorming session with the students.
Speaking on the occasion, they explained in detail the childsexual abuse and rights of children. They said that the aim of organizing suchprogramme is to make every child aware of his and her rights guaranteed underdifferent laws and about ways to fight any kind of physical, sexual, emotionalor psychological abuse at the hands of any person at home or outside home. Theyalso spoke on the Juvenile Justice Care and Protection Act and POSCO laws.
