Welcoming ban imposed on beggary in region’s capital Srinagar, Independent legislator Engineer Rashid on Thursday urged government to extend the ban to other districts of the state.
In a statement issued here, Rashid said government should extend this ban to other districts as well.
“The ban on begging in Srinagar and Budgam is a welcome move, but it should not be end of the story,” said Rasheed.
Rasheed said he has been asking government time and again to take notice of thousands people who migrate to the state every year.
“There is no official record maintained about these people…,”said Rasheed government should deport those people who sit idle and resort to begging here.
