Irked by unscheduled power cuts, the inhabitants of Nusoo village in Bandipora and its adjoining areas Thursday staged a protest against Power Development Department (PDD).
Amid anti-PDD slogans, the protesters including men and women staged a sit-in and blocked Srinagar-Bandipora road at Nusoo for hours together. They alleged that department has failed to provide them with electricity as per schedule.
The protestors said that despite their repeated pleas to the department, their problem has not been addressed. They appealed the government to look into the issue.
