Biggest Eid gatherings expected at Eidgah, Hazratbal

Thousands of people are expected to say Eid prayers in Eidgahs and mosques across the state on Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday.

The biggest gatherings are expected at Eidgah ground in Downtown and Hazratbal Shrine.

   

Chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is scheduled to address people ahead of Eid prayers at Eidgah at 8 am. In case of inclement weather, Mirwaiz said, Eid prayers will be offered at Jamia Masjid at Nowhatta.

At Hazratbal, prayers are scheduled at 10:30am.  Jamait-e-Ahlihadees has announced Eid prayers at Khadi Mill Aloochibagh Srinagar at 7am.

Officials said the district administrations have made all necessary arrangements for devotees.

Governor NN Vohra, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, council of ministers, various political social and religious organisations have greeted people of J&K.
