Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bita Karate today, while hailing the statement of UN secretary general, said "it was now time for it (UN) to act and intervene as prime party into the Kashmir issue."

"The UN should act above the rhetoric as India has never agreed to any third-party intervention and continues its forced control on Jammu Kashmir," Karate, in a statement today, said.

Meanwhile, Karate, while lashing out at the government said, "It is quite distressing that after brutally massacring eight youngsters, the government is conducting re-election at scores of polling booths in Budgam district. It was better it to stop this election drama. It is quite astonishing that sensing the mood of people, the polls in south Kashmir were differed but how is it wise to stage this drama in district Budgam?."

Urging people to strictly follow mission of martyrs, Bita Karete called for complete poll boycott in poll bound areas.
