BJP to stage protest against killings

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to stage a protest in Srinagar on Tuesday against the killing of its workers in different parts of the state.

“It is unfortunate that our leaders and workers are beingkilled. We have decided to protest in press enclave Srinagar on Tuesday topressurize government to ensure safety and security of BJP leaders andworkers,” local news agency KNS quoted BJP state general secretary organizationAshok Koul as having said. Koul said the killing of the BJP leader GulMohammad Mir in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has put a question mark overthe measures being taken to protect political leaders and workers in the state.”Mir was associated with the BJP for the past 20 years. It’s a big loss for us,”he added.
