The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (BOSE) authorities on Sunday exempted the invigilators and supervisors in exam centres from carrying and collecting the question papers from police stations.

Instead, they said, policemen would carry the answer papers and other packed examination related material from the exam centres to their destination.

"It will be job of police to collect the material from police stations. But the concerned Superintendent has to send a representative from his exam centre to identify the pack of question paper so that right pack reaches the exam centre. The papers will be carried by police personnel only," said BOSE chairman Zahoor Ahmad Chatt.

He said police has been taken on board for doing this job during the 10th ad 12th class examinations, starting tomorrow.

Most of the exam centres are set up in schools which have been categorized as sensitive and hypersensitive by the school education department.
