‘BOPEE flouts rules in allotting MD/MS seats’

The aspirants of MD/MS NEET-PG (2018) on Saturday alleged that Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE), in contradiction of norms, was allotting seats to candidates from different categories whose names had figured in the supplementary list.

“The counseling process for MD/MS candidates is being conducted by the Board against set rules and regulations published in information brochure and notifications issued by the Board itself,” a delegations of aspirants told Greater Kashmir.

Quoting a notification the candidates said the National Board of Examinations reduced the qualifying criteria/percentile for open merit candidates to 262 and for category candidates to 225.

According to the notification, the candidates said, the candidates who fell within the said cut off score shall also be eligible to mopping up round, but shall be considered only after the candidates from provisional merit list are not available.

“However in complete contradiction to the notification some candidates belonging to categories in supplementary list have been allocated seats ahead of the candidates in the first list. This is grave injustice,” the aspirants said.
