Boycott of ULB polls eye opener for Delhi: JKLF

Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) today said ‘complete’ boycott of municipal elections should serve as an eye opener for New Delhi and state administration.

“New Delhi and their partners in Kashmir have unleashed fear. Despite oppressive measures, manipulations and other undemocratic acts rulers have failed to lure people of Kashmir. Complete boycott of these elections should serve as an eye opener for them,” a JKLF spokesman said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the spokesman strongly condemned the arrest of its zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri and others.

He said, “JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik is in police custody since October 2, while JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi is also in custody since October 7. JKLF leaders Siraj-Ud -din Mir, Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Abdul Rashid Magloo and Assadullah Sheikh are also incarcerated under PSA and lodged at Kotbalwal jail in Jammu.”

Meanwhile, JKLF spokesman paid glowing tributes to Mushtaq Ahmad Khan of Batamaloo on his 28th death anniversary.
