Burglar loots shop in Baramulla

During the intervening night of Sunday and Monday goods worth lakhs of rupees were stolen from an electronic shop in Baramulla Main Chowk.

Police claimed to have identified the "thief with the help of CCTV footage."

The burglar as per police, looted the electronic showroom, Everest Radios, situated in the main Chowk Baramulla at around 4.15 am on Monday and took away electronic goods including mobile phones and scores of other electronic items from the showroom.

SHO Baramulla Khalid Ahmad said the burglar has been identified and efforts are on to trace him. "We raided his residence at Rafiabad, however, could not find him there. Efforts are on to trace him and we are hopeful to arrest him soon and recover the stolen items," the SHO Baramulla said.
