Burglars loot 3 shops in 2 days

Burglars looted two shops during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, and decamped with goods worth lakhs of rupees in north Kashmir’s Sopore town. 

The burglars looted the shops of Naseer Ahemd Gazi and Haji Manzoor Ahmed Mir, at Chota Bazaar, Sopore during the intervening night of Monday/Tuesday and decamped with goods worth lakhs. 

   

Earlier, a hosiery shop belonging to Muhammad Shafi Sofi, at the same market was also looted during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The burglars decamped with hosiery items worth lakhs of rupees. 

Meanwhile, scores of shopkeepers under the banner of traders’ federation Sopore held a protest demonstration against the district administration and the police accusing them of failing to check such incidents in the town. 

Police said it registered the cases and started manhunt to nab the robbers.
