Scores of people last evening staged candle light protests at Lal Chowk in Anantnag (Islamabad) district in solidarity with a minor rape victim from Pakistan.
The protesters carrying banners and placards with Zainab’s picture chanted slogans against authorities for failure to arrest the culprits behind the brutal act.
The candle light protest was organised by local youth in solidarity with 7 year old girl Zainab, a resident of Kasur Pakistan, who was raped and murdered in her home town on January 4.
Protesters carried banners which read: “Justice for rape victim Zainab Ansari, Black day for humanity, Killers must be punished.”
