NGO Care Kashmir in collaboration with other agencies shall distribute facemasks among general public on July 28 and July 30.
A statement said that the in collaboration with The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, J&K Hoteliers Club, The Kashmir Monitor, The Kashmir Hotels and Restaurants Owners Federation (KHAROF), CCIK, JKTA, Beopar Mandal Maharaj Gunj, AKTO, J&K Private School Co-ordination Committee, TAAK, KYEF, J&K Chemists and Druggists Association, Srinagar Chemists and Distributors Association and others, to provide masks to the people who do not wear them.
“On 28th July and 30 July, various organizations will make available surgical masks to the people not wearing them,” vice president CARE Kashmir Zaffar A Shah said
He added the centres were identified within the city of Srinagar, where spread of COVID-19 has become a matter of serious concern to the people.
“These centres which have become concern and where distribution would likely be done are Residency Road, Regal Chowk, Lal Chowk, Karan Nagar, Boulevard, Brein Nishat, Maharaj Gunj, Sala Kadal, Nowhatta, Rajhagh, Zero Bridge and other main areas of Srinagar,” he said.
