A cordon and search operation launched in Dehruna village of Kokernag insouth Kashmir’s Anantnag district was called off on Saturday afternoon.
Reports said that the militants and the security forces exchanged briefgunfire soon after the CASO was launched in Dehruna village today morning.
However, no contact was established with the militants later on, theysaid, adding that the searches were called off after several hours.
Witnesses said that the residents pelted the security forces with stones during the operation.
