Security forces launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Palhallan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday night.
A police official said that based on specific information about the presence of militants at Tantray mohalla of Palhallan, a joint operation led by Army’s 29 RR, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police was launched in the area.
SSP Baramulla, Abdul Qayoom, said that the search operation is on. “The operation has been launched after we received inputs about the presence of militants in the area. As of now no contact has been established,” he said.
