Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Gulshanpora village of Tral township in southern Awantipora police district.
A police official while confirming the CASO in the village,said the operation was launched on “specific inputs”.
On Wednesday morning, forces personnel comprising Jammu& Kashmir police, army’s 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central ReservePolice Force (CRPF) cordoned off Gulshanpora village and conducted door to doorsearches.
As per locals, the searches were carried out many times inthe area. The operation was on for hours together.
A senior police official said that it was a “normalpractice” by the forces that “concluded peacefully”.
